Japanese Etiquette on 10 March 2007 |
Want to learn the proper etiquette of dining in a Japanese restaurant? The people of Japan eat out very often as it serves as a means of socializing, relieving stress and wooing business associates. Learning the basic rules of table manners is one of the cultural events organized by our school for its students. This includes greeting before and after the meals, proper usage of chopsticks, drinking rules, proper way of eating rice, Sushi, Sashimi and Kare Raisu.
There will also be friendly tips on Japanese greetings and language with a quiz held at the end of the meal. Even if you will not be entertaining friends from Japan soon, knowing the proper etiquette will make your next trip to a Japanese restaurant much more fun!

Japan Education Tour from 28 May to 4 June 2007 |
Every year our school organises education tour to Japan for our students. This enables the students to experience the lifestyle and the culture of Japan during their stay. To further enhance the experience, students will be staying with local Japanese families in the form of home-stay. This exhilarating Japan Education Tour, accompanied by our Japanese teachers, promises to enrich you greatly. You will visit Aomori, the home of Japan’s apple industry and alsoTokyo.
About Aomori
Aomori, the home of Japan’s apple industry and Tokyo lies in the north island of Honshu, a prefecture that is believed to be the home of the true essence of Japan. Due to its long history of geographical and climatic isolation, Aomori has developed and maintained a regional variety, which is not to be found anywhere else. You will experience in Aomori the sights, sounds and tastes of Japan, which many people had thought long vanished.
The Perks Of The Tour
- You get to stay with the Japanese families in the beautiful countryside of Aomori, the gateway to Hokkaido and the north.
- You will be totally immersed in the Japanese culture and will be in constant contact with Japanese language. Our Japanese teacher will be there to educate, guide and explain to the students the Japanese customs, culture and language.
- You will visit, learn and enjoy the places of interest in Aomori. These places retain to this day their own individual identity in their festivals and their folk crafts.
